Highlights from the Winter Craft Retreat in Akron

ree

Thank you to all of the ladies who came to this past weekend's Akron Winter Craft Retreat. We had such a wonderful time and hope to see you back at another retreat!

For anyone who missed the retreat, here are a few photo highlights. Everyone who attended received this desktop organizer and laser cut embellishment set as a welcome gift. We have daily page contests and each guest votes on their favorite page.

There was an optional embellishment swap on Friday evening. Anyone interested was invited to make a set of 5 embellishments in one theme. They can be used on a layout, card, or journal. Here are the ones made by the group.

There were two make-and-take projects (or guests can take them and make at home) over the weekend. The first was a one-page layout with step-by-step written instructions.

For the second make-and-take, we made a paper dress and added it to the front of an embossed panel to create a wedding card.

The make-and-take table was set up in the center of the room so other guests could see the process and interact with those who were making the projects.

We have a small store at the retreat that has 12x12 papers, ribbons, glue, photo squares, and a small selection of craft supplies for purchase.

Also for sale are these handmade quilted fabric covers for your Cricut or Silhouette die cutting machines. They were made by my aunt, Patty Hutter. Trash pods and mug rugs are available at each table for use during the retreat, but guests can also purchase the set and take it home to use in their craft rooms.

And last, but not least, there was a table filled with prizes for retreat guests!

We had such a great time over the weekend and can't wait for the next one. If you are interested in joining in the fun, check out the upcoming retreats page. We hope to see you there!

Happy crafting,

~Kristine
